Umida and other Christian women in Central Asia face opposition from Muslim family members and their community as they share the gospel and live for Christ. Here are seven ways to pray for believers facing Islamic extremists:
- Pray that they will have opportunities to advance God’s kingdom through their faithful witness and that many Muslims will come to know Jesus Christ as Lord.
- Pray for their wisdom and boldness as they share the gospel with Muslims and disciple new followers of Christ.
- Pray that they will have access to their own copy of God’s Word.
- Pray for their spiritual growth as they meet with other believers for fellowship and discipleship.
- Pray for their perseverance amid threats and opposition from Islamic extremists, hostile governments, communities or their own families.
- Pray that their faith will be strengthened through persecution.
- Pray that our sisters and brothers in Christ will know they are not alone and will sense God’s presence as we pray for them.
