At this event, you will hear from Petr Jasek and Gracia Burnham, who will be sharing some updates from your persecuted Christian family as well as inspiring testimonies of courageous faith.

As the leader of VOM’s ministry in Africa, Petr Jasek was arrested by Sudan’s Islamist regime in 2015 while in the country to help persecuted Christians. Convicted as a spy, Petr was forced to share a cell with ISIS terrorists. Petr witnessed to his fellow prisoners during his 445 days in prison and now travels to tell his story.

For 17 years, Martin and Gracia Burnham served as missionaries in the Philippines. In 2001, they were taken hostage by militant Muslims and held captive for 376 days. Martin was killed during a rescue attempt, while Gracia survived and was rescued from her captors. Today, Gracia travels widely to speak about her time in captivity.
