Overview:

Tribal violence and the advance of radical Islam cause persecution. Political instability in the country has contributed to the rise of radical Islam. However, the majority of persecution cases involve the rejection and harm of Christians by family members.

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray that Christians who are persecuted by their families will draw near to Christ and experience his presence.
  • Using Philippians 1:9-11 as a guide, pray that Christians will have opportunities to grow in biblical understanding.
  • Political instability has contributed to the rise of radical Islam. Pray that Muslim extremists will turn to Christ.
  • Pray that the 4% of Guineans who identify as Christians will be bold in their witness among the 88% Muslim majority.
  • Christian converts in Guinea are often violently persecuted by family members. Pray that their hearts will change.
