A Prayer for Sudan

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up our Christian brothers and sisters in Sudan who are suffering increased persecution amid the ongoing war in their nation. We pray that they will sense your presence and be granted wisdom no matter what they face. For those driven from their homes, we ask that all of their needs will be met. We pray that you will guide pastors and church leaders as they seek ways to minister to church members and their surrounding communities. May the body of Christ in Sudan see new and effective ways to advance the gospel. We pray that amid this violence, many Muslims will seek you — the Prince of Peace. May the generals leading the fighting repent and find new life in Christ as they respond to the witness of Christians they persecute. And may Sudan be filled with the knowledge of your glory, further spreading to surrounding nations.
