All of us are spending our lives.

No matter who we are, what our circumstances may be, or what we do, time ticks on and is gone.

• In what sense was Richard intentionally spending his life for the cause of Christ while he was in prison just as he would have spent it had he not been in prison?
• Which perspectives and attitudes do you think are necessary in order to live faithfully for God as he did, and why?
• What did you think of the 'deal' Richard and his fellow Christian prisoners made with their guards: the men would preach, the guards would beat, and everyone was happy?

• Commit to God that you will spend your life focused on eternity and not on temporal things of this world.
• Ask God to give you joy in all things (good or bad) - that you might shine as a light to His glory to those around you.
